Mental Health
Problems |
Mental illness can affect people of all ages and walks of
life and can be triggered by psychological, social,
environmental and /or genetic factors.
In most cases it is not a single factor but often a series
of events that occur that can trigger a mental illness. It
can affect relationships, work and quality of life.
Unfortunately there is still a stigma attached to mental
illness and therefore it can remain undiagnosed. No one is
expected to overcome mental illness without support and
asking for help is not a sign of weakness.
Mental illness can be classified into different categories
and diagnoses. A doctor will often make a diagnosis and
will access what treatment is needed and predict what is
likely to happen.
