In this practice we occasionally have specially selected students to gain work experience in the Practice.
In order that students can learn and become the doctors and nurses of the future, they are invited into the surgery to sit in with your doctor. We will always let you know if a student is in the practice and if you decide that you would rather the student was not present then they will be asked to leave the consultation room.
Ideally you should advise the receptionist of this before your consultation but you have the right to ask the student to leave the room at any time during your consultation. Whether the student is present or not, will not affect the way you are treated nor any treatment you may be given, nor will this affect your relationship with the doctor in any way.
