How to
Obtain Your Test Results
If you are calling for results, we have a dedicated line which is
open from 11.00am to 12 noon and from 6.00pm to 6.30pm each day.
Please leave it at least a week before you phone for results. Some
results such as X-rays may take up to 2 weeks to come back.
You should check your results are back before making an appointment
with the GP.
Our receptionists can only tell you if your results are normal or
not. They cannot interpret results so please do not ask them any
questions about your results. They will also not know which tests
the GP has requested so it is important that when your tests are
ordered, you ask the doctor or nurse how many separate results are
expected. It is not uncommon for there to be several test results.
If you have ANY doubt about whether you have received all the
results or if you need any information about your results you should
leave a message for the doctor nurse concerned to call you back.

safely give you your results. Patients calling outside of these
times or on our main switchboard number will be redirected to the
results line.
